After looking for "Graphic Design" work on the internet (Google), i came across this awesome advertisement selling a new flavour of "Absolut Rasberri" Vodka. The graphics in the background are created by various types of 'vectors' that are just so interesting and eye-catching by the bright colours used and the interesting dysfunctional shapes been created. The page uses the 'The rule of thirds', which literally means that the page is set up in 3rd's, in a horizontal layout. The bottle sitting in the middle of the page just screams out at you, which is obviously the point of the ad! The so called "white space" around the product helps in creating a 3D effect and makes it jump out to the viewers.
The style of the design is a mix of modern, contemporary and pop art, because of the different shapes and typography going on. The ad itself does not need any explanations or quotes in the design, the product explains everything!
I find this ad to be very creative and fun and very playful because its just so very interesting and exciting to look at. I hope to find another ad created by the "Absolut" company because i find them really interesting and especially designed well!

ReplyDeleteI love the fact that a dark bottle stands out in a fairly 'dark' ad except the spotlight effect around the bottle. Very clever. Have you found out who the graphic designer is? I wonder if they are Australian?
